Terengganu : Y&Z Wedding | Part 1

Okay, I promised about Terengganu trip before right? If you count this one, this would be my second... no... wait... third time that I went over to a different state by my own (with friends of course). The first one was way back in 2009... if I'm not mistaken. Where I went to Malacca. Sorry... I've taken most of the old photos in the previous blog, so the only thing left are just the story. And the second time was when I went to Johor. There's two part of that entry : Part 1 & Part 2.

So, this time around is officially the third time I went out of KL to a different state. Which is to Terengganu.

The Smurfs Premier Screening @ TGV One Utama

I know this is kind of a very late post but I don't want to waste these cute cam-whoring selfies which I took with Odie, a friend of mine who is also a blogger. You can check out her blog here at If You Seek Odie. So, I have to thank Nuffnang so very much for the invites to the Premiere Screening of The Smurfs 2 : Nice Gets Naughty. Since somewhere in the previous years, I also received the invitation for the first Smurfs movie by Nuffnang, I felt somehow lucky that I was again selected for the second installment of Smurfs screening too. Thank you, Nuffnang.

Iftar @ Seoul Garden

Aaargggghhhh finally, after tons and tons of time asking and begging and pleading and hoping, I was finally able to step my foot into the so-called Seoul Garden. As far as I can remember, some of our classmates are like, super crazy on Korean food and so, I guess it came as natural that they'd love it. I was at first quite irritated whenever they would yap and yap about it, particularly because I was on an anti-Korean culture/K-Pop/K-Drama/whatever-it-was because it was the mainstream thing to do. *Hipster alert*

Burger Bakar Abang Burn's Ramadhan Buffet Iftar @ Bandar Tasik Permaisuri

19th June - Friday. This is a belated post really. Hehehe. There's actually not much of a point to do a separate post for this entry since I could just mesh it together with the Abang Burn's Ramadhan Buffet entry because it really was why I went out after all. Hehehehe. But if so, I'd be disturbing the marketing process of that entry by personalizing it with my usual rantings and logging about what we do, where we go, or what we ate. No? An ad entry, should just be as it is.

Iftar at Chicken Rice Shop & TGV Turbo Premiere Screening @ One Utama

Thanks to Nuffnang for the opportunity to grace myself at one of those fabu movie premiere screenings. I actually haven't been one for ages. Two years actually. The last time I ever went to a screening was probably in 2011... (thinking hard... and off into space). I'm not quite sure but it was Altitude.... if I'm not mistaken. That was the last time I ever went to a screening. I think so... Anyway, since I'm not actively blogging once more, I figured I should grab anything any pros that a blogger has while at it. You know, premiere screenings, events, promo launches for new product or campaign, all of the sorts. You'd have to be an awesome blogger with great track records of visitors/readers to your blog to get invited to some of these events, and since I'm not one, I'll just stick to the low-end of the cookie, movie screenings.

Burger Trip : Al-Lazat from Burger Bakar Abg Burn

Monday, 8th June. I was actually waiting for the new burger called Al-Lazat to make its debut at the Burger Bakar Abang Burn chain burger shack since the week before and I finally found out that they started selling it on that Monday (8th June) itself when I was busy checking out Facebook status updates when I saw the announcement. I didn't waste any time at all and quickly contacted Faiz to accompany me to go to Abg Burn's outlet in Danau Kota to taste this burger.

Chrono Cross - Radical Dreamers

Those who live gloriously in the 90s during their childhood would recognise how awesome this game is. The game is awesome, with chronologically twisted plot to boot, and insanely haunting soundtrack which will leave you with a big nostalgic gaping hole of your childhood. Exaggerating? I might be, but that's the truth. Just ask any of those gamers that appreciated the time spent on this game.

One of the particular song from that game which is called 'Radical Dreamers', have the most beautifully-written lyrics on it align with the serene melody composed by Yasunori Mitsuda, and sung by Noriko Mitose. Hauntingly beautiful to the ears of man, this song have been recognised well enough to the media's attention.

Anyhow, a lot of cover have been made as a tribute to this song and one particular youtuber did an English version with a slight difference in the lyrics of the song. I'm not sure whether he wrote the lyrics or it was from another source, but the lyrics fits perfectly into the song and the meaning was still there, albeit a little different. Seeing as how the original translation of the song lyrics (which was in Japanese) into English lyrics doesn't cope with the lengthy pull of Japanese katakana.

So, we had this crazy idea of trying to do a cover of the song, with the alternate English version lyrics of course. Well, it started out as a random thing, trying to sing along with the English lyrics, and somehow we had this silly idea of singing it. We recorded our singing and I edited it into a video which I uploaded in youtube. All I can say is, for some parts of the song, it was a-okay and not too shabby, but some parts are just so dreadful because of our lack of vocal skills such as pitching and breathing technique. It sounded more like those horny or angry cats in the alley, wailing, only to be shooed away by people by splashing cold water to them. Hahahaha.

Black Swan : The Hoarder

Remember my Yard Sale entry? It actually have to do with this entry, which is a continuation of an entry about our dear friend that is going to study abroad in Australia next month. I'm happy for her being able to pursue her dream, but I'm not happy for her for being a hoarder. No offence my dear, just teasing. But that's the problem when you live in a place for a long time, you tend to collect a lot of things. Some can be very useful, and some can be expendable.

Scorpio & Pisces

Can you believe this?

I guess this answered our question all along, eh Faiz? It's no wonder that we have been such good friends for five years now. Five years is a long time to be committed to a relationship for me. We've hardly been that apart since the beginning and I'm glad that we are still together. I hope we can treasure this friendship for as long as we can. Till death do us part.

Farewell Black Swan

"It was just last year.
By fate's design, that I laid eyes on this rare animal.
She was ebony in colour. Mysterious yet enchanting, masculine yet graceful, harsh yet gentle, a true diamond in the rough. She soars not, dawdle not, but rather strut her way through existence. Her quill cloaked her sagely wisdom as she is perspicacious. Yet in her deadly pulchritude, lies a magnanimous matron."

Divas Made an Effort : Part Two & Three

Again, it's not hard to try and keep friendship even when you're far apart. Although the distance between spaces and time may hinder the effectiveness, if it try hard enough, you'll get it. After our first gathering at Nilai, we got together at Syeksen 2, Shah Alam, where we had KFC for brunch, and head to Secret Recipe for tea time. Too bad I've totally forgotten to take pictures on that occasion itself. The only picture of that occasion was the one above. And that is our second gathering. Last two weeks, however, we managed to get together, only because of a spontaneous decision made my by Faiz.

Divas Made an Effort : Part One

When I was in college (UNiSEL), I was part of this large group of friends and we had tons of fun together. If you have been my follower on my previous blog, http://mieamelodies.blogspot.com, you would know of it. Since all of the outings we did together was posted on that blog. I kept it for the sake of the memories of all the wonderful things we had together. But that is another story. One of my friend from that gang told me that when we finished our college years, we would all go our separate ways and will eventually gotten farther away from each to the point that no one really seemed to care about one another.
