Santa Claus : A Christmas Wonder

Xmas comes again merrily this year. By now, everywhere around Malaysia, particularly in the city of miscreants and misfits, Kuala Lumpur, Christmas is welcomed jubilantly with bright red and greens encompassing of twinkling lights and decorations. I need not delve into what kind of decorations there are since it's an extraneous task listing down or mentioning about. But this time I would like you all to lend me your cognitive processor and bear with my "why" questions about the jolly old men in red himself.

My Little Island

I guess I'm finally back on my little island in RLC. The little island which I used to kept myself holed up before I was switched over to the mainland.

Hahahaha. I wonder if you could understand what I'm trying to say here.

Terengganu : Y&Z Wedding | Part 2

So, on the morning of 22nd November, both Faiz and I set our foot at Damai LRT Station to pick up our rented car at about 10am over. That was the agreed time in which the owner wanted us to come and pick it up, but apparently these guys don't know that punctuality and tardiness don't mix. We had to wait for until it was 11pm over that this guy finally came over to deliver the car. I don't know whether this was the practice or what but apparently the car was really low on gas when we got it. Thankfully there's a nearby petrol station. Well, I can't say much about on the road trip since it's a long drive... Except that we missed a turn when we reached into Port Kuantan...

Terengganu : Y&Z Wedding | Part 1

Okay, I promised about Terengganu trip before right? If you count this one, this would be my second... no... wait... third time that I went over to a different state by my own (with friends of course). The first one was way back in 2009... if I'm not mistaken. Where I went to Malacca. Sorry... I've taken most of the old photos in the previous blog, so the only thing left are just the story. And the second time was when I went to Johor. There's two part of that entry : Part 1 & Part 2.

So, this time around is officially the third time I went out of KL to a different state. Which is to Terengganu.

Maybe I should tell you guys about my trip to Terengganu recently?

Take Control of your Dream (Dylan O'Brien Inspired)

Do you ever had that feeling when you're having such a good dream, all grinning, warm and fuzzy, but then someone or something woke you up? And then you though, "Naaah, Imma go back to my dream" and pull the blanket over your face, curl in a fetal position, and hope to continue the dream but then you can't because the motion has passed? *exhales*

Well, I have loads of those. I mean, it's frustrating, especially when it is such a good dream. Like for example, dreaming that Dylan O'Brien is your boyfriend *I blame the recent movie I watched "The Internship" for making me drool over his cute pretty face*. But lately, I've been successful in controlling what shall appear in my dream.

Although the chances are really sometimes random that it'll happen the way that you want to, I've devised my own way to get the types of dream that I want.

1. No eating before sleeping. Especially spicy or any spice-induced foods.
A study performed by Brighton Town University's department of the mind and body, it shows that the subject (people) who go to bed on a full stomach can trigger nightmare-causing brain waves, especially when the food are the unhealthy ones. And eating spicy foods can cause a rise in your bodily temperature, in which disrupts REM sleep.

2. Take whatever you do before you go to sleep into consideration.
Whatever show you're watching, whatever books you're reading, or whatever music you're listening before you go to bed will influence in what will appear in your dream. Basically, everything you do will affect it. So, let's say you want to dream about this cute guy that saw in facebook, all you need to do is ; stalk his FB, look at photos, while listening to some music that can make you feel giddy or amorous, before you go to bed.

3. Music plays a big part.
Now this is a bit tricky because it depends on your personality. But naturally, all you need is some music that can evokes happy thoughts or memories. Some music that will light up your spirits and make you smile. Find those music, plug in earphones (earphones are way much better than speakers as it pierces through inside the ear, while sound have to travel quite a distance from the speaker to your eardrums), put it in volume that is not too loud that it will wake you, but not too low that it doesn't register through your brains, and go to bed. It'd be good if you can create a playlist instead and keep it playing on a loop.

I know, all of these thing are common and you've read it all before but have you actually given it a try? I've managed to keep Dylan O'Brien in my dream for quite a few time already since the premiere screening of 'The Internship' last Tuesday. And I don't plan to stop. Unless I feel like dreaming about Zac Efron... Hmmm....

Book Review : Fifty Shades Darker by E L James

I know, like what the fuck? Because the last time I mentioned that I might not even think about reading the second book. But hey, it would be unfair to base my judgement on the whole Fifty Shades Trilogy until I've actually read all three books and not making a crass first impression review based only on the first book. True?

Synopsis
Daunted by the singular sexual tastes and dark secrets of the beautiful, tormented young entrepreneur Christian Grey, Anastasia Steele has broken off their relationship to start a new career with a Seattle publishing house.

But desire for Christian still dominates her every waking thought, and when he proposes a new arrangement, Anastasia cannot resist. They rekindle their searing sensual affair, and Anastasia learns more about the harrowing past of her damaged, driven and demanding Fifty Shades.

While Christian wrestles with his inner demons, Anastasia must confront the anger and envy of the women who came before her, and make the most important decision of her life.

Movie Review : The Internship

I guess all of you have heard how awesome it is work at Google company. Not only that it's awesome. It's actually like a paradise, for those who refuse to conform to the standard rigidness of the corporate world. Slides, bright surroundings, free foods, and comfortable working environment, what else could we ask for, no? I know I would love to go work for Google, only because of its awesome working environment. But I don't know of any ability that I can put to good use at Google. Hahahaha.

Synopsis
Billy (Vince Vaughn) and Nick (Owen Wilson) are salesmen whose careers have been torpedoed by the digital world. Trying to prove they are not obsolete, they defy the odds by talking their way into a coveted internship at Google, along with a battalion of brilliant college students. But, gaining entrance to this utopia is only half the battle. Now they must compete with a group of the nation's most elite, tech-savvy geniuses to prove that necessity really is the mother of re-invention.

Movie Review : Paranoia

If you were given the order to spy on a company for their intel and be paid handsomely if you managed to pull it off, would you do it? I, for once, would love to jump to that opportunity but anyone who knows me well would totally laugh at the idea of it. I'm clumsy, accident prone, and totally helpless. But one thing I am good at is acting. I can plaster any face that I wish to act upon, and they can't tell whether I'm lying or not. But before I go on, and on about ridiculous spying skills, I thank Nuffnang for the premiere screening passes for this movie, and let's get into the review.

Synopsis
In this high-stakes thriller, Adam Cassidy (Liam Hemsworth) is a regular guy trying to get ahead in his entry-level job at Wyatt Corporation. But after one costly mistake, Adam's ruthless CEO, Nicholas Wyatt (Gary Oldman), forces him to spy on corporate rival, Jock Goddard (Harrison Ford), Wyatt's old mentor. Adam soon finds himself occupying the corner office and living the life of his dreams. However, behind the scenes, he is simply a pawn in Wyatt's corporate game and realizes he must ultimately find a way out from under his boss who will stop at nothing, even murder, to win a multi-billion dollar advantage.

Therapeutic Tuesday : More To Life by Stacie Orrico

We all go about every day in our life in a fixed motion and pace. It all depend on yourself how to create the illusion of time to pass by; slowly or quickly. But for some people, they go about their life like zombies. Going through the same motion every day, consenting their life to be as mundane as they perceive it to be.

*THUMPA THUMPA*

Well, if I had known better, I would have really dragged my friends to this concert because it was AMAZING! Seriously. What I needed after all these time was an escapade. And this concert couldn't have come at a better time. I am so fucking grateful that I received two weekend pass for this concert (for free of course!), courtesy from Nuffnang. Honestly, thank you very much to Nuffnang and Mr. Darren Low for emailing to all the winners about our weekend passes.

Me and My Money

I guess this always happens to me. I mean like every single time. I'm such a fucking spendthrift that the minute I receive money on my payday, I'd blew it all instantly. But not right away. I would of course settle all of my monthly payments (rent, phone bills, unify), give a couple of hundreds to my mom, and finally settle any loans or debt that I have.

Well, that is good, and mandatory. But what I'm actually at awe of myself is because of what happens after that. During the first course of the week after the payday, I'd be spending like fucking crazy.

Charlie Hunman & Dakota Johnson as Christian Grey & Anastasia Steele for the upcoming movie from the bestseller 'Fifty Shades Of Gray' by E L James

That is one motherfucking long title. Anyway, after all this bizz and buzz about who's going to play the cast of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele from the bestseller erotic book Fifty Shades of Gray, they have finally decided to cast Charlie Hunman and Dakota Johnson as the characters respectively.

Zac Efron in the upcoming movie, Neighbours

Don't you just want to melt and swoon at the sights of those beautifully sculpted abs? Oh I'm gushing so hard right now. Not with jizz of course! But with hormones. Estrogen, specifically. Hehehe. Anyhow, any fans of Efron would surely know about his upcoming movie which shall be released next summer. I think that would probably mean next year... right?

Malaysian Matters : Petrol Price Upsurge

What???????
Harga minyak naik?!!!

Oh come on, chill lah!!! Seriously, why do all these people care that much increase of oil pricing? I mean, yes, it can result in some kind of financial setbacks, but really, does that rise of 20 cents affect the whole outcome of your life? No, it doesn't! So what the fuck is with all these people complaining?

Therapeutic Tuesday : Brave by Sara Bareilles

I've realized we haven't have any of these Tuesday post for a while now, what with all the screenings and all (again, thank you Nuffnang so much for the premiere screening tix!) and I had to make room for the reviews the day after the screening so that people could get some reviews on the movie before they actually went for the movie itself. And that is why I had to postpone these Tuesday post for quite some time already.

But let's catch up on our feel good song moment. Sometimes in life, be it professional or personal, there are just those moments that you wish it you could speak up your mind, be bold, and courageous enough to act upon your instinct. However, fear and shame always got the best of us, and we cower in our pants, too afraid to face the possible outcome and risk humiliation.

Guys in Shorts

OH my godddd!! What is it with guys and shorts these days. And I'm not talking about those capri 3/4 shorts or cargo pants. I mean those really shorts-shorts. Like those that women wear.

Aaron Taylor Johnson

You know what? A few days back when I was watching Kick Ass 2 at its premiere screening at GSC, Mid Valley Megamall, courtesy of Nuffnang (thanks a lot you guys!), I realized that Dave/Kick Ass looked very familiar. Now, let me be honest with you all here, I've never watched the first movie, so I wasn't prepared for all of his cuteness.

Mr. Henry Middleton

I remember two months back (was it? Eh, who cares!) that a guy called and referred me as Mr. Middleton. Mr. Middleton?

My thought exactly. But then I went Google-ing and found out who was it. Bless the Lord for giving human inspiration to create the world wide web services, for easier access to all roaming data.

Movie Review : We're The Millers

"Right.... another predictable pretend family sitcom. As if we haven't seen enough." That was my first thought when I heard about this movie. So, what is going to be different about this movie that isn't out there already, I ask. Drug-dealing... oppss wait, it's drug-smuggling. There's a difference, as David Burke/Jason Sudeikis would emphasize in the movie. Yeah right. But clearly I was wrong for that crude first impression as 'We're the Millers' knocked me off my seats with insane comedy.

Synopsis
David Burke (Jason Sudeikis) is a small-time pot dealer whose clientele includes chefs and soccer moms, but no kids-after all, he has his scruples. So what could go wrong? Plenty. Preferring to keep a low profile for obvious reasons, he learns the hard way that no good deed goes unpunished when he tries to help out some local teens and winds up getting jumped by a trio of gutter punks. Stealing his stash and his cash, they leave him in major debt to his supplier, Brad (Ed Helms). In order towipe the slate clean-and maintain a clean bill of health-David must now become a big-time drug smuggler by bringing Brad's latest shipment in from Mexico. Twisting the arms of his neighbors, cynical stripper Rose (Jennifer Aniston) and wannabe customer Kenny (Will Poulter), and the tatted-and-pierced streetwise teen Casey (Emma Roberts), he devises a foolproof plan. One fake wife, two pretend kids and a huge, shiny RV later, the "Millers" are headed south of the border for a Fourth of July weekend that is sure to end with a bang.
